LicenceXchange came from an Access based system developed for internal use by Music Business Associates Ltd (MBA),
a specialist music industry accounting, compliance and royalty auditing firm.
MBA customer Sanctuary Group plc saw it in use
and asked for it.
Sanctuary, the UKs largest independent record company, used the Access solution
for several months to create licences and issue deal memos.
MBA proposed to Sanctuary and Cumulus, a film production company in the Sanctuary Group, a more sophisticated version
based on a SQL server 2000 database. Sanctuary agreed to be the development site.
MBA commissioned top software developer, Inform Information Systems Ltd (IIS Ltd) to produce LicenceXchange.

LicenceXchange was therefore developed by:
MBA (specialist royalty and licensing accountants for the music industry)
IIS (UK based, world leading software house)
In partnership with
Sanctuary (the UKs largest independent record company)
Cumulus (film production company, part of Sanctuary Group plc)
